We found out today that sometime before June 1, our company is doing a layoff.

Now, I feel that they won't cut me, because I know how to do a lot of things that I've not had time to write down yet. And won't, for at least another 7 weeks or so. But, I'm also more expensive than a new grad would be.

Gotta love it -- 6 weeks of "do I have a job after today"?

Got home yesterday. We haven't found our camera yet, but my boss took some pictures of the guys in a few of the places we visited.

Yay, I have an internet connection at home again! Of course, with this insane project I'm working on, it's still going to be a trick to find the time to use it! But, at least it's here!

And for my first post back -- while driving home tonight, I heard a story about Sarah Palin, and the upcoming VP debate. As a part of the news story, the reporter said, "All eyes will be on her..." which immediately made my brain think of a song.

We've bought a new house! OK, we closed a few weeks ago, but we "lost" the camera at my father-in-law's house, so I didn't have the pictures I wanted to post.

I'm so tired of cold and snow.

I'm reminded of a joke that a guy my dad worked with in North Bay used to tell. "I'm going to take the wife and kids camping this summer, if it falls on a weekend."

How can my body be so tired and my brain so awake? Humans are so stupid. You don't see cats with insomnia.

Maybe they're sucking up all the sleep around me...
